Advertising Preparation Guide

Telehealth advertising eligibility and preparation

Before you request agency access, establish what your business can advertise, where it can advertise, and which approvals belong to the advertiser. This guide helps telehealth founders and growth teams prepare that review; it does not certify a business or guarantee ad delivery.

Google and LegitScript sources checked 4 October 2026. Meta requirements need confirmation through the current platform policy and application process.

01

Define the service and target markets

Start with the business model, not the account type. Record which entity markets the service, which clinicians provide care, which pharmacy dispenses, and which jurisdictions the proposed campaign targets. Keep the website, application and supporting documents consistent. A consultation, prescription service and pharmacy can have different approval requirements.

Google restricts online prescription-drug services and assesses the offer alongside ads, websites, apps and related destinations. Its requirements vary by target location.

02

Confirm LegitScript scope and licensing

For US telemedicine providers covered by Google’s healthcare rules, Google identifies LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification and also requires Google certification. Confirm the applicable category against the actual service. An MSO label or a dispensing partner’s certification does not settle the advertiser’s own application.

LegitScript certification covers a root domain and its subdomains and subpages. Additional root domains require review under the program’s instructions. Inventory the complete patient journey and have the responsible compliance team confirm licensing for the jurisdictions served.

03

Apply for Google approval at the advertiser account

Prepare the customer ID, certified domain, applicable accreditation and requested documents for each proposed advertiser account. Google’s instructions place applications at the child account level, not the manager account (MCC) level. An agency applying for a client must document its relationship with the advertiser or license holder.

Keep the approval response and its scope with the account record. Agency access, invoicing arrangements and certification are separate decisions; a manager account is not evidence that a client has healthcare approval.

04

Confirm Meta requirements through Meta

Treat Meta as a separate review. Before launch, consult Meta’s current Drugs and Pharmaceuticals advertising standard and obtain confirmation of the requirements that apply to your business, target country, ad account and destination. Keep any platform permission and its scope in your launch record.

This guide does not provide a Meta eligibility determination. Do not treat a purported whitelist token, agency relationship or another platform’s approval as proof that Meta has approved your advertiser or campaign.

05

Review creative, destinations and measurement separately

Build a review packet containing the actual ads, landing pages, onward links, offer disclosures, targeting settings and measurement plan. Have the appropriate clinical, legal and platform-policy reviewers check the specific service and claims. A certification record does not establish that every creative or medication offer is permitted.

For a deeper US/Google worklist, use our preparation guide covering restricted drug terminology, sensitive-health audiences and customer-data measurement restrictions. Do not assume that patient-intake events are suitable for advertising telemetry.

06

Prepare an incident record and official resolution path

Assign an owner to record policy notices, affected account IDs, destinations, certification scope, recent changes and the business impact of a pause. Resolve the cited issue and use the platform’s official review or appeal process. Keep business-continuity planning separate from permission to advertise.

Do not create replacement accounts to evade enforcement. Google’s Circumventing systems policy includes creating new accounts to re-enter after suspension. Review timing and reinstatement are platform decisions; this guide promises neither a fixed suspension window nor uninterrupted delivery.

What to bring to an infrastructure discussion

Use this as a document checklist. Checking a box does not establish eligibility or platform approval.

Discuss your business context with AdsInfra. Eligibility, account availability, fees, billing, support and any continuity arrangement need confirmation before provisioning. Send business information only; do not send patient data or credentials.

Common questions before an application

Does LegitScript certification guarantee ad approval?

No. LegitScript’s FAQ explicitly says certification does not guarantee advertising approval. The platform still decides whether the advertiser and campaign meet its requirements.

Will every unlisted domain cause a suspension within 48 hours?

This guide provides no universal suspension deadline. Confirm domain scope with LegitScript and the platform, and resolve any notice according to its stated policy and official instructions.

Can an agency guarantee no creative disallowances?

No such guarantee is offered here. Review the actual creative, destination and account status; platform reviews and restrictions remain applicable.

What commercial terms apply to AdsInfra access?

Ask the desk to confirm current account availability, eligibility, fees, billing and support responsibilities for your business. This page does not establish credit availability, dedicated account entitlements, response times or a failover service.
